Start Your Racing Journey with the SCCA License School at BIR
Ready to make the leap from track day enthusiast to licensed road racer? The SCCA License School at Brainerd International Raceway is your gateway to competitive motorsports—designed for passionate drivers ready to take the next step into wheel-to-wheel racing.
Thanks to the generous support of the SCCA Land O’ Lakes Region, this year’s program includes a special tuition subsidy to lower the barrier to entry. By sponsoring a portion of the cost, SCCA-LOL is investing directly in the future of grassroots motorsports and helping new racers join the ranks of regional and national SCCA events.
This two-day immersive experience includes:
-
Personalized instruction from licensed SCCA coaches
-
On-track sessions and classroom training focused on safety and racecraft
-
A streamlined path to earning your Novice Permit or full SCCA Competition License
-
Immediate opportunity to race in the SCCA Regional event following the school
Important Notes:
-
SCCA Membership and either an SCCA Novice Permit or current SCCA Competition License are required for school attendance
-
SCCA Sanction Number: (25-DS-65115)
-
Students must provide and drive a car that meets all SCCA General Competition Rules (GCR) and technical specifications
